JEM Body Art observes current health and safety and best practice guidelines.

1. For health and safety purposes JEM Body Art only uses high quality face paints ie Snazaroo, Grimas, Paradise and Diamond FX which contain anti-bacterial agents. All face paints are EU compliant and all glitters used are of a cosmetic grade.
   
   
2. JEM Body Art also only uses high quality alcohol based body art paints for airbrushing.
   
   
3. JEM Body Art uses hand wipes to keep hands clean between clients, clean sponges for each face, clean water for each face and ensures brushes are clean after each face.
   
   
4. JEM Body Art does not paint over any cuts or skin conditions such as eczema, use paints on sensitive skins or under 2s (under 3s for airbrush tattoos) and does not paint anyone who does not want to be painted or children who cannot express their own wishes.
   
   
5. It is the parents responsibility to advise if the child has sensitive skin so that we may do a patch test to ascertain whether or not they may react to face paints. Face paints andtattoo body paints are generally safe, but like makeup some people do react to the ingredients. We reserve the right not to paint anyone we feel should not be painted.
   
   
6. We do ask that the public do not touch our equipment to ensure that cleanliness is maintained at all times.
   
   
7. JEM Body Art ensures strict hygiene is followed during and after each event making sure all equipment is cleaned thoroughly during and after every event.
   
   
8. All sponges are machine washed at 90°C after each event.
   
   
9. It is advised that children and adults avoid the work area when someone is being painted or tattooed.
   
   
10. Balloons are made of latex. Some people do have an allergy to latex. Please be aware of this if booking balloons for your event. Also, do not allow children to bite balloons or chew them!
    
    
11. JEM Body Art will not supervise children. Their behaviour and safety is the clients and or parents responsibility. JEM Body Art cannot see other children and what they are doing while airbrushing or face painting.
    
    
12. JEM Body Art is fully insured.
    
    
13. All electrical equipment is PAT tested yearly.
